CLASP Highland Games 2018 – Information

CLASP Highland Games 2018

Here is some important information regarding the upcoming Highland Games. Please note that CLASP administers the draw for the Highland Games committee, but the competition will be run, on the day, by the Highland Games organisers. As you will appreciate, outdoor games do not run as smoothly as some indoor events and i would suggest that you make

yourself known to your steward and keep an eye on the progress of each event you are taking part in.  Please note there will be no medals presented at the games, this is common at all Highland Games, and also there will be no Crit. sheets. Judges are always happy to give feedback if you catch them at the end of the competition.

All draws will be available via the CLASP website and Team App (once the closing date passes).

Best of luck to all!

Luss Highland Games
The Games will be held on Saturday 7th July at Luss Games Field.

Here is a link for Directions - http://www.lusshighlandgames.co.uk/index.php/news-information/directions-to-thegames

Message from Luss Secretary:
Pipers should be on the field for 10am and report to the piping secretary’s tent. Pipers should use the main gate to save queuing this year. No payment is required at entry to field. Pipers should give their name at entrance, which, if they are entered, will be on the list.

Balloch (Loch Lomond) Highland Games
Balloch Highland Games will be held on Saturday 14th July at Moss o’ Balloch Park, Balloch.

Message from Secretary - CLASP Competitions start at 10am. There are 3 platforms and 6 judges. One platform for Juv. and open light music, one for Juv. and open Piob and one for CLASP. Entry tickets are free to competitors and posted out by CLASP. Please make sure your postal address is up to date on the members area of the CLASP website. If you will be in a different location/address please let us know. Passes will be posted out to the address you filled out when becoming a member, unless otherwise advised, on the last week of June.
Parking in the street is free and there are also car parks though the ones closest to the field are cordoned off all day. The field is Moss o’ Balloch and is right next to the main entrance to Balloch Country Park opposite the bus stance next to the Co- op.

Inveraray Highland Games

Inveraray Highland games will take place on Tuesday 17th July.
http://www.inveraray-games.co.uk/

All CLASP pipers should register in the Games Field at the Piping tent between 12 noon and 12.30, with a view to starting at approximately 1pm. However, this will need to be confirmed by the organisers on the day. There will be events running on the CLASP board during the morning, so the judges will need to complete their judging and have a break prior to commencing the CLASP events.
